Recycled Cardboard Dollhouse

Ah, I remember playing with my dollhouse as a kid. I spent so many hours arranging and rearranging furniture and using my imagination to its fullest.

That’s why I was so thrilled with our next crafty kit from Creativity For Kids.

It’s the Recycled Cardboard Dollhouse!

The kit comes with everything you need to complete your dream dollhouse (cardboard furniture, stickers, house accessories, markers, glue and more).

Of course, since this one was a DOLL house my son did not want any part of it in the beginning.

However, I noticed him in the dining room the other day coloring his OWN person for the house. I think he even chose a bedroom. *Snicker*

Here is the completed house (outside view).

The windows, doors and other accents are actually cardboard cutouts that we glued to the front.

I must also note that the actual BOX/PACKAGING that the product comes in is fully recyclable. It is the base that our dollhouse sits on. Yes, this can be colored and decorated too.

My youngest daughter has the most fun with this one. Well, maybe not as much fun as I had. LOL!

From start to finish, it took approximately 2 hours to complete. The most time was spent assembling the furniture. Have I mentioned how adorable the furniture is? OH MY!

I found myself having to let go of control when it came to decorating. I was supposed to be there to HELP but boy oh boy did I want to properly coordinate the colors and rearrange the furniture.

I let the kiddo do her thing though!

I said it only took about 2 hours to complete but in reality we are always finding something to tweak or add.

Just yesterday she added her own little garden to the side of the house and I heard my other daughter saying something about a swingset.

It’s all about the creativity, folks!
