Sarah and I spent some quality time together today making jewelry thanks to Creativity for Kids Jewelry Boutique!
I have always been a mother who believes in making quality time together with my children. For me, quality time means being creative together and making lasting memories sitting around the table doing projects that are fun, or playing board games, or painting together. Children never forget the time spent with their parents doing fun things. I know I always remembered those special times with my own parents.
Today was one of those days. Creativity for Kids has been one of my favorite project choices for my children since I had my first daughter in 1979. Since then, I’ve lost count of the boxes of fun and memories I have made with my 3 daughters, my son, and my grandson.
Just today, Sarah and I made bracelets together after she got home from school.
It was fun spending time together laughing and creating together. Let me tell you about it!
We started with the Jewelry Boutique filled with charms, pendants, ribbons, a beading tray, glass beads, and even a jewelry mannequin to display our creation.
There were all these colorful beads and wood pendants too!
Sarah made a bracelet and I started to make one too. She finished hers first and it looks so great! I’m
going to finish mine later tonight. I want to make a bracelet with several layers and that takes a little more time.
And ribbon. Sarah and I love ribbon.
We laid everything out on the table. Decisions. Decisions.
Sarah decided to make a bracelet using the blue and green beads.
So, we put the beads in the jewelry tray and got started.
Sarah added her beads to the elastic gel cord that she measured around her wrist. We made sure there was enough extra cord to tie it off when she was finished.
I decided to start making my bracelet too using the orange beads…
and the blue and green and white too. This is the start of my multi-colored bracelet.
After Sarah finished her bracelet, she picked out a pretty ribbon too.
And here is her bracelet, which she placed on the mannequin display that came with the kit. Just so you know, the instructions are really easy and Creativity for Kids provides you with lots of inspiration to use your imagination when creating your very own jewelry creations.
